OUR MISSION
The TOCS (Together On Center Stage) program provides a performing arts vehicle for people regardless of their level of experience, abilities or disabilities, race, or religion, promoting inclusion and community spirit. These are presented in a welcoming environment and we’re committed to developing social and performance skills, building self-esteem, discipline, responsibility, and positive values through the creative arts.

Hello and welcome!

Welcome to Together On Center Stage, a unique theater program for individuals with physical and/or developmental disorders. This includes those with Autism, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Blindness, Deafness, wheelchairs, walkers, and learning disabilities among others. We have been doing our programs throughout the triangle since 2011, working with more than 1000 individuals, no matter their personal ability level. TOCS provides a fun and educational theater experience for individuals who often are denied these opportunities because of their differences or ABILITIES!

The participants create and present their own original plays that reflect kindness, love, inclusion, sensitivity, equality, diversity, respect and acceptance.

We have many volunteers/mentors who help guide the participants to be most successful. Our sessions/rehearsals are on Thursday evenings, 6-8pm, for 8 weeks, beginning August 24th. At the culmination of the program, there will be 3 performances for you and your friends/family to attend at no charge, with a cast party and t-shirt for the participants and mentors.

We are now one of the Apex Parks and Recreation/Cultural Arts Department’s specialized education programs and will be listed in their program guide that will be available on July 24th, 2023. Visit their website at http://www.apexnc.org/223/Parks-Recreation-Cultural-Resources to get all information, or pick up a program guide at the Halle Center, 237 N Salem St, Apex NC.
